Last Sunday I was asked to facilitate a speaker discussion table for John Maxwell’s online International Certification. One of the participants, Reverend Revoz from Mexico mentioned that he was preparing a few sermons on making decisions. And I found myself, as I have on many times before, sending him one of my favorite quotes by Andy Andrews from his The Traveler’s Gift book:
“… God did not put in me the ability to always make right decisions. He did, however, put in me the ability to make a decision and then make it right.”
The true understanding of this ability to decide, to follow through, and to correct as needed is very freeing and has served hundreds of my clients and students throughout the years. So much so, that I have developed an exercise and a visualization for this process to help our subconscious mind to support our conscious mind’s decision-making abilities. I am thinking of doing a quick Zoom recording of this exercise with a group of a few volunteers to then offer as a gift to anyone in the world who would be interested. Please let me know if you would like to participate 😊 and I will send you the details once they become available.
Additionally, I quote this to myself during any decision-making process:
“Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not.” (D&C 6:36)
And I decide – without fear, without doubt, and with a full permission and request to Creator to re-direct me as needed.
